For Terry …

This was never meant for me to keep, it was written for this blog and I love it. The author [an award winning blogger] needs no introduction, as her unique way of structuring her poems is unlike any other around. Enjoy …

In the deep

Of something

Dark

And grave

Your

Echoes

Drifted in

From the edge

Of some bond

I love you –

I love you not

The questions

That floated

In

In a whisper

Asked what

It was I wanted

What it was

That haunted

My dreams

And the petals

Came off

Out from

My trembling hands

One

By

One

Falling gently

On soft earth

I love you –

I love you not

It was

That sad smile

That

Hint in your eyes

Those

Pleas

On the brim

Of

Your tears

Flowing down

To

An open jaw

Down

To

A breaking heart

It was

The undeserved

Half smile

That

Resolve

To

Keep trying

To

Understand

A stubborn heart

To

Wait

For the

Fog

To

Lift

And the

Tangible hope

To

Find

Redeemable

Remnants

From what used

To

Be

Me

It was your

“I’m not giving up on you”

Your

“I can’t stop caring about you”

The

“I want to share the pain with you”

All of the

“Hey I love you”

And

I love you –

Hell,

I love you too.
